Studio stuff:

Mats and Morgan are in the studio and is working on a new CD that will most likely be called "HEAT BEATS LIVE".
Cuneiform will also re-release our first CD "trends and other diseases" when we release our "HEAT BEATS" CD/DVD, just so you know!
A "Best of Morgan Ågren DVD" will also be released together with the CD, and this CD+DVD will be released next year!

Morgan will record with Lars Hollmer (Of Samla mammas manna) this month, for Lars next solo CD, also featuring Michel Berkmans of Univers Zero.

Mats/Morgan Band has recorded one track for the ChristianVander/Magma tribute CD called "Haamtai", to be released soon.

Mats Öbergs solo piano CD is out, and it is called "In The Moment"

Morgan is featured on the upcoming Kaipa CD called Angling Feelings, and on Jimmy Ågren´s CD "Close Enough For Jazz"

New live CD with Mats/Morgan Band titled "HEAT BEATS LIVE" to be released by Cuneiform records in Jan/Feb 2008.
Included with this live CD is Morgan Ågren "drum DVD" that will contain various recordings made during a 15 years span.
Featured on the DVD is: Mats/Morgan Band (as a quintet, trio and duo), BOX music project, Magma tribute, Simon Steensland Kamikaaze United, Kroumata Percussion Ensemble, Fleshquartet, Läder, Drumkit From Hell demo sessions, the recording of MESHUGGAH lead Guitarist Fredrik Thordendals solo CD Sol Niger Within etc.

Also, Mats/Morgan Bands debut CD, TRENDS AND OTHER DISEASES, will also be released by Cuneiform Records Jan/Feb 2008. Remastered with 15 minutes of bonus material!

Mats/Morgan Band: Heat Beats Live  /  Morgan Ågren: Tourbook 1991-2007 (CD+DVD)

Heat Beats Live is an excellently recorded live album which covers two years of work, featuring Mats and Morgan alone, together and with up to 3 additional musicians.
The music is their modern blend of composition, improvisation, complexity and hypnotic beats, as well as their sense of humor.

Also included in this package is Tourbook 1991-2007, which is Morgan Ågren's long worked upon and anticipated DVD release. It contains various recordings made during a 16-year span including live and studio recordings featuring Mats/Morgan Band, Fleshquartet, [BOX] The Music of Captain Beefheart, Simon Steensland Kamikaze United, Freddie Wadling Magma/Vander tribute, Drumkit From Hell sessions, Fredrik Thordendal (of Meshuggah) etc.
Plus lots of solo drums. Total playing time: 1 hour, 47 minutes.
