CONCERT SCHEDULE

The Zappateers are working on some sort of list of Zappa coverbands, scheduled concerts and much more.

Dr Zurkon already showed what it might look like at: http://maczappa.serveftp.net:591/fzcoverdsearch.html

I've included the link to my concert list below.

SOFANIC MESSAGES IN FRANK ZAPPA'S MUSIC REVEALED

http://www.tiferet.com/sausage/index.html

JAGATARA

Years ago, I received a recording of Jagatara performing Frank Zappa's 'Black Napkins'.

A little while ago I received additional info from Avo and from Yosuke:

Jagatara is a Japanese word from 100-200 years ago and it's difficult to explain. There used to be a very famous funk band named "JAGATARA" in the 80's-early 90's in Japan.

JAGATARA comes from "JAGA" & "TARA": "JAGA" means "Potato", and " TARA " means Fish...(a cod(fish)). I think it means "mixed together many things".

The band "Jagatara" is a fundamentally a funk band (like Fela-Kute). They also respect FZ and etc ....
The band stoppend around 1991 because lead singer Edo Akemi had died.
They didn’t perform FZ but they did respect FZ.

Jagatara has over 15 CDs and 4 DVDs out.

Every year there is a festival called "Jagatara Matsuri(Festival)". A tribute to ex-Jagatara members, of which 3 members have already passed away.

This is the main page of the festival (in Japanese):  http://www.loft-prj.co.jp/jagatara/

ROBYN HITCHCOCK

Robyn Hitchcock has been added to the Magic Family, bands and artists performing / recording the music of Captain Beefheart.

THE MONKEES: HEAD

For more visual enjoyment, I've included the covers of the "Head" lp and cd to the "Soundtracks" & "Monkees" section.

BILLY COBHAM

Did you know that George Duke performed on Billy Cobham's "Life and Times" album? And that he used Dawilli Gonga as an pseudonym / alias due to contractual reasons? Well, neither did I.

Thanks to Zappateer 'Bastard Son' for the info:

CHRIS OPPERMAN 2005 12 11

I'm a bit too late with this, especially for the Recital...

[Chris Opperman Mailing List - Sunday, December 11th, 2005]

* "Lotus Feet" Nominated for a GRAMMY!

Okay, I realize that it hasn't even been a week since my last mailing list update, but I hope you'll excuse the intrusion for this very special announcement.

The composition "Lotus Feet" on Steve Vai's "Real Illusions: Reflections" album which was released this year was a live performance featuring Steve Vai & the Metropole Orkest with special guests Chris Opperman on piano and Bryan Beller on bass as performed in Holland in 2004.  Anyway, the exciting news is the track has been nominated by the GRAMMYS for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance!"

It's the first time that a track that I played on has been nominated for a GRAMMY and that's pretty exciting.  I sure hope Steve wins this time.  Leading the nominations this year are the lovely Miss Mariah Carey and the horrifically overrated Kanye Whatever.

* Solo Piano Recital Wednesday Night

Also, for those of you who are interested, I booked a last minute show at Masquer's Cabaret because I owed the booker a show.  So, if you are the type of Oppy fan who wishes I would just wear a nice suit and play the piano for an hour at a reasonably quiet and respectful venue, this is the gig for you.  It's Wednesday night, I go on a little before 8:30 and it's at 8334 West 3rd St., West Hollywood, CA.  Cover is $7 and I believe it's all ages but you may want to double check.

Happy holidays!

-- Chris

BRUCE BICKFORD

A message from Brett Ingram and Jim Haverkamp

Season's Greetings!

First, the sad news:
For those who have not yet heard, George Bickford passed away in his sleep on October 9, 2005.
He was ninety years old and had battled Alzheimer's disease for more than a decade. Mr. Bickford was an ingenious builder, an accomplished architect, and a brilliant aerospace engineer.
He was also a true original. George Bickford will be sorely missed.

Now, the good news:
In memory of George Bickford, we are pleased to announce that the Monster Road DVD will be released sometime during the month of February, 2006, from the Bright Eye Pictures web site:
http://www.brighteyepictures.com/

Monster Road has screened at more than 50 film festivals, museums, and alternative cinema venues in 12 countries, winning more than a dozen awards. The movie is currently playing periodically on the Sundance Channel. However, our hopes of securing a commercial release of the DVD by a large scale distributor have fizzled, the dust has settled, and now it's time to DIY this thing.

The DVD will feature a load of extras, including deleted scenes and previously unreleased Bruce Bickford animation clips.

We apologize for the delay of this release and greatly appreciate your interest and patience.

Our excuse for taking so long with this thing?
First, we'd hoped to have secured a "deal" by now. Second, it's taking a while to get all the DVD extras together and (the animation clips) approved by Bruce Bickford. Finally, E-commerce and DVD authoring/replicating/packaging are new territories for us, and are, frankly, not the most enjoyable aspects of indie
filmmaking, especially when one is knee-deep in a new creative project.

Brett Ingram is currently working on a new feature documentary - a portrait of another unheralded creative genius, scientific illustrator and outsider artist Renaldo Kuhler. Stay tuned to the Bright Eye Pictures web site for more info on this project.

Jim Haverkamp is working on a new short narrative film in collaboration with Don Baker, a writer/director/actor and a longtime supporter of Monster Road.

Jim and I appreciate all the support we have received from each of you.
Without your help, Monster Road would still be just a dream. By purchasing one or more copies of the Monster Road DVD upon its release in February, you can help us with our new projects.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Brett Ingram and Jim Haverkamp

ZAPPA FEST IN PORTUGAL

A message from Luis Gaspar, 2005/12/23:

In Canecas, a small town near Lisbon, Portugal, last 21th December a group of friends reunited to celebrate Zappa's Birthday and listen to his music. Present were 2 portuguese bands that played Zappa's music, Miosotis and Zappanoia, the last group testing a new formation and adapting Zappa's writing to portuguese and social and political happenings of today.

FZ, CB AND THE SECRET HISTORY OF MAXIMALISM

  • frank zappa, captain beefheart and the secret history of maximalism
by michel delville and andrew norris
        (2005, book, uk, salt publishing)
    • I finished the plus thirty page introduction of this almost two hundred page book today, and I'll probably be reading it again tomorrow.
"FZ, CB and the Secret History of Maximalism" kicks off with showing how Zappa looked at his Project/Object. It also goes into the Big Note theory and its relation to, what Zappa calls, his Air Sculptures. Furthermore, it gives examples about Zappa's and Van Vliet's maximalist approach, linking these examples to other musicians, writers, poets, and much more.

This book is no easy reading, and you need to know your Zappa (and Beefheart) to enjoy it. I've only finished the introduction and I've already made some notes about things that I have to listen to or that I have to read.
    • Recommended.

HELLHOUND ON MY TRAIL

A nice message from Kilissa:

Greetings! Happy Christmas Eve!!! Here's a great song for the occasion! Robert Johnson Hellhound on my Trail (1936)

I got to keep movin', I've got to keep movin'
Blues fallin' down like hail, blues fallin' down like hail
Umm mmm mmm mmm
Blues fallin' down like hail, blues fallin' down like hail
And the days keeps on worryin' me,
there's a hellhound on my trail, hellhound on my trail, hellhound on my trail

If today was Christmas eve
If today was Christmas eve, and tomorrow was Christmas day
If today was Christmas eve, and tomorrow was Christmas day
(spoken: Aow, wouldn't we have a time, baby?)
All I would need my little sweet rider just, to pass the time away, huh huh, to pass the time away
You sprinkled hot foot powder, mmm mmm, around my door, all around my door
You sprinkled hot foot powder, mmm, all around your daddy's door, hmm hmm hmm
It keep me with ramblin' mind, rider
Every old place I go, every old place I go
I can tell, the wind is risin', the leaves tremblin' on the tree, tremblin' on the tree

All I need's my little sweet woman, and to keep my company, hmmm hmm, hey hey

ARF! UN OMAGIO DI AMNESIA VIVACE A FRANK ZAPPA

  • arf! - un omaggio di amnesia vivace a frank zappa
    by amnesia vivace
        (2003, book, italy, amnesia vivace)
    • The fourth of December 2003, Amnesia Vivace published a Zappa tribute.
Despite my lack of knowledge of the Italian language, I enjoyed this book very much. The book itself looks like a piece of art: a heavy cardboard cover, heavy paper on the inside, the package kept together by a piece of rope.
The booklet itself collects a number of articles by various contributors: Ben Watson, Marco Maurizi, Pasquale Cacchio, Daniele Timpano, Francesco Gentile and Nando Boero.
    • The biggest surprise were the two pictures of Zappa-inspired artwork: the first one by Alberto Gennari, the second one by Giuseppe Cacace.
      Take a look at
      http://www.ponticonlecose.com/arf.htm
      for more then an impression.

FZ - THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO HIS MUSIC

  • frank zappa - the complete guide to his music
    by ben watson
        (2005, book, uk, omnibus press)
    • In 1998, Omnibus Press released a very informative book called "The Complete Guide To The Music Of Frank Zappa" (above right). A nice little booklet (in a more or less CD-format) that took you through the complete Zappa discography. Nice pictures & very well written by Ben Watson.
A couple of months ago, Omnibus re-released the book with a new title, a new look and a new chapter (below right), taking into account the Zappa albums that have been release the last couple of years.

I really liked the previous format, and it's a pity that a lot of pictures didn't make this new edition, but still, it's nice reading. An excellent gift for people that need an introduction to FZ.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

They used to be such nice kids....

ZITA SWOON

  • zita swoon: camera concert - a band in a box
        (2005, cd+dvd, be, chikaree records abiab400)
    • They're spoiling us. The latest, brand-new Zita Swoon album has a bonus DVD. Just like that.
"Camera Concert - A Band In A Box", this latest Zita Swoon album is exactly what one expects from Zita Swoon: a very impressive album. Zita Swoon is one of the most important bands in Belgium. This live album does not present new material, but it does give you the opportunity to find out what the band sounds like live. Especially the DVD is impressive. It's hard to believe that the video was shot during a concert. It's all very laid back, very intimate as well. Tom Waits is never far way. Also note the Bob Dylan composition on their play-list, and yes, Radio Candip is a joy for the eye & ear.

      A must-have.

NEW MUSIC FOR METROPOLE

Today I came close to finishing the writing and demo-ing of a new piece, which will be premiered at the upcoming live performance of The Universe Will Provide with the Metropole Orkest in March. I think the new piece might be called "4S" and it's really messing with my head, I'm very excited for people to hear it. This performance will be in The Netherlands, and there will be more activity around Europe before and after that -- we will tell all after the new year is upon us.

This week I've also been in the studio with Brad Teaby finishing up a bunch of long-in-the-works Jip material. And next month I'll be involved in a recording project with Ronan Chris Murphy, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto. And writing/planning continues apace for the next three to five MK album projects. Busy year coming up.

STILL HAVEN'T POSTED AT MySpace.com/MikeKeneally, STILL WANT TO

Every time I've tried to participate over there, I couldn't figure out how to get started. I'm so not savvy with that world...so I begged my friend Dan, who's been waiting super patiently for me to get going in the My Space world, for some pointers, and he sent me eighty lines of text that I haven't been able to deal with yet. Hey, I just moved, still living out of boxes, eight projects going on, need any more excuses from me? Didn't think so. OK I'll stop being lame soon, believe me I'd like to. In the meantime, those of you who do know your way around at My Space, go see what I'm missing.

REQUESTING GOOD VIBES for SEAMUS

Our youngest guinea pig Seamus is staying overnight at the vet tonight with super-swollen lymph nodes; they're still working out precisely what's wrong with him, so send him the super-good healing vibes if you would, thanks very much.

***************************************

MARK CRANEY

Friend and brilliant drummer Mark Craney (with whom I worked on Z's "Shampoohorn" album) has passed away after a long illness -- I contributed a track to an album called "Something With A Pulse" a long time ago, raising funds to help with his care. He hung in for a good long time and I'm very grateful to have known him. Please send him good wishes on his journey.

WES WEHMILLER

Tonight's the one-year anniversary of our gig at the Belly Up with our dear late friend, bassist Wes Wehmiller. Thanks to Wes' parents for writing and reminding me of that. Love to Wes and howdy to all who love and miss him.

MILES BEYOND

Recommended website: http://www.miles-beyond.com, website of Paul Tingen who wrote the magnificent book "Miles Beyond" about the electric music of Miles Davis. Great book, and the website is a great companion. Poking around there I even found a glowing testimonial from Doug Boucher, longtime überfan of MK music and charter alt.music.mike-keneally newsgroup denizen (Scott Chatfield, if you want to affix an umlaut to "überfan" you may, I couldn't be bother to figure out how to generate one. Or if you don't feel like it you can leave this parenthetical stage direction to wave in the wind for all to see. Hi, world.) [Hi, Mike! -Scött]

I stop now. This was supposed to be short. Happy holidays everyone!

THE WRONG OBJECT

  • the wrong object & guests: live 2005
        (2005, cdr-pro, bel, private release)
    • The latest Wrong Object demo presents the Wrong Object in concert at various locations throughout Yurrip. Playing Zappa stuff as well as material by Delville.
This album features Harry Becket, who joined the band for a couple of concerts in Belgium and Elton Dean, who played with the band in Paris, France.
Needless to say that this a "must-hear".

If you're familiar with the band's previous demos, you'll be surprised by this one. Laurent Delchambre (on drums), Fred Delplancq (on tenor sax) and Jean-Paul Estiévenart (on trumpet) have joined Michel Delville and Damien Polard and make the Wrong Object a band that you should keep an eye on.
    • The band's got a new website as well:
      http://www.wrongobject.com
      Check it out.

20051211

THE BLUTCH ADVENTURE

  • the blutch adventure: one to five
        (2005, 2cdr, bel, lama recordings 015)
    • from the booklet:
"The Bluioaetch project is a 4 track project with different musicians starting a tape without knowing how the endresult will come out. They record their pieces of music by turns and in a random way onto the 4-track-cassette one by one until the tape is full. So the music comes about by accident. Sometimes it ends up in a beautiful song, sometimes in bizarre mindblowing soundscapes. The Bluioaetch-project is organized at least once a year. These are the first five parts, recorded over 5 years."

      Impressive, to say the least.
    • Out on Lama.

THE LAMA HOME BAND

  • the lama home band: sparebedbirthmarks
(2005, cdr, bel, lama recordings 016)
    • The latest and brand-new release on Lama is by The Lama Home Band. This is experimental low-fi at its very best.

KIM KANGAROO

  • kim kangaroo: giant dead lip samba
(2004, cdr, bel, lama recordings 013)
    • "Giant Dead Lip Samba" presents work that Kim Kangaroo recorded between 1982 and 1987. Some of this material has been released as Horse Cyclone, Situation, Swan Show, or as Kim Kangaroo.
Considering that Kim was only 13 years old in 1982, these recordings show that he was already listening to Residents material at a very young age.

Just think of what it did to Kim...
This might make an interesting case study...

JAY PHLITMAN & KIM KANGAROO

  • jay phlitman & kim kangaroo: jazzmasters
(2005, cdr, bel, lama recordings 014)
    • It has been a productive year for Lama Recordings.
For those of you that have always wondered what Phlitman and Kangaroo would sound like, playing jazz, here's your answer.
"Jazzmasters" collects 9 compositions, each dedicated to a jazz legend: Billy Holiday, Archie Shepp, Eric Dolphy, Roland Kirk, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Art Blakey, Duke Ellington and Ornette Coleman.
If this was a quizz and someone would ask me to add the name to each track, I wouldn't have too many points. The album, however, deserves all the points. I like it a lot.
I hope this is just part one.

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART BOOTLEG DVD

  • captain beefheart: the mirror man looks back
        (2005, dvd, ??, ??)
    • Here's a brand-new Captain Beefheart DVD bootleg.
True, it's a bootleg and that means that someone is making money out of this (and it's not the artists), but it's good to see that some Beefheart video is turning up.

I can't tell you too much about this. I've seen it, but I don't really know what the source is.
The first track is from The Old Grey Whistle Test from 1974; there's the BBC tribute from a couple of years ago; there's the little thing by Anton Corbijn, and then there's some more live stuff, but I can't put my finger on it.
      Additional info is welcome.

20051207

NEW FRANK ZAPPA BOOTLEG ALBUM

  • the mothers of invention: mr.gene's greens - detroit '68
         (2005, cd-bootleg, usa, zipperman zap-019)
    • Here's a brand-new bootleg from the american zipperman label. Presenting The Mothers in Detroit in 1968.

Tape traders (or concert traders as one might call them) know that this is a very fine concert.

PETULANT FRENZY

Mister Dave said:

Petulant Frenzy in concert 2005 12 08

Hi,
for those of you on the right latitude and longitude, please be aware that the merely entertaining Petulant Frenzy will once again be forcing unsuspecting molecules of air to collide in a fashion similar to that envisioned by Frank Zappa a long time ago, in a land far away.

The Marquee

Camperdown
9:00 - 12:00

Oh, and free burns of the Roxy DVD to the first 1000 payers.

BARRY GOLDBERG

In 1966, Frank Zappa contributed to 'Carry On', a recording by Barry Goldberg.

Barry Goldberg is / was a white blues organist closely associated with Mike Bloomfield. Member of the Electric Flag.

The FZ connection cme about through Tom Wilson, who produced both the Mothers and Goldberg.

"I played the chords, and Bloomfield played the screeches. And they made this rhythm and blues record, which has a lot of words in it like 'baby'. But I'm sure it's very excellent. Maybe it doesn't even have the words in it like 'baby'. Maybe they got something psychedelic like 'mama'." --FZ, 12/22/66

MARTY SEVEN

I added an entry for Marty Seven:

Frank Zappa mentions drummer Marty Seven in a radio interview from 1981.

Here's a transcription of the interview:

Frank: The drummer auditions are closed right now because I just hired a guy from Chicago. His name is Marty Seven. As a matter of fact, he's probably there visiting in Chicago with his parents right now... because he was out here... He was living in Boston, he came out, he tried out, he got the job and then moved all of his stuff out to California and then went back to visit with his parents for a week. So he may be back there right now so if he's there, Hi Marty, how you doing?

(from the Zappateers Forum)

any extra info would be appreciated.

THE LAMA HOME BAND

  • the lama home band: sans culottes
(2004, cdr, bel, lama recordings 012)
    • The Lama Home Band is Kim Kangaroo and D.Down, plus guests.
I vividly remember their previous album "Deux Ma Sacoche", which came in a handbag... And now there's "Sans Culottes". This is a very fresh and fun sounding album. It's obvious that the Lama Home Band admires the bands that you know from the Ralph Record Label.

"Sans Culottes" proves that the Do It Yourself scene produces excellent music.

You should really give this a try.
Check the Lama! Recordings? address below.

MODERN BOG

  • modern bog: the first casket
(2003, cdr, bel, lama recordings 010)
    • "The First Casket" was recorded in 1983 (!) by a Belgian quartet consisting of Kim Kangaroo, D.Down, Mister Pingpongballoon and R.Room.
This piece of history got released last year on CDR on the excellent It's A Lama! Recordings? record label.
A toy guitar, tape manipulation, casio sounds and a voice that could easily come from a Cavandoli cartoon in one track and from Captain B. in the next track.
      I like this a lot.

If you're up for something experimental, you have to check this out.
    • Lama! Recordings?

KANGMAN & ZONEN

  • kangman & zonen: pas op, zwenkt uit
(2001, cdr, bel, lama recordings 009)
    • Belgian comic book artist and cartoonist Kim Duchateau is involved in various musical projects.
The 'band' that made "Pas Op, Zwenkt Uit" was called Kangman & Zonen, and this litlle and very limited disc (only fifty copies made) was released together with one of his books.
This is truly hilarious material. Sticking with the letter "K", it even sounds like something inbetween Kamagurka and Klimperei.

Visit Kim's excellent site to get an idea of what he's up to:

JOHN TRUBEE

It's impossible to think during the noise of the day.

I dream surreal dreams and think of these things in the quiet moments in the darkness before my alarm clock buzzes.

I only regret I don't possess even more time to escape from the noise and distractions of the days to reside by rich pools of reflection.

They Behave As Proud And Arrogant Children
Copyright c 2005 John Trubee

They behave as proud and arrogant children
All relations: shoutfests of competition
nourished on upbringings
of TV football and videogames

Devoid of integrity
all systems fail:
Black unfortunates drown
while Ivy League cronies
fuss over dinner reservations.

Kansan peasants protect their children
from science

The sentimental deification of golfers
posited as some supreme value to emulate

All is money and buying,
scheming and getting
All is position and territory
and image and reputation
based on nothing
of value or meaning.

They behave as proud and arrogant children:
All is a battle to prove a misplaced sense of manhood
(while men themselves are despised)
All circumstances a battle to trounce
the eternal other
They establish paradigms of black and white
which require no reflection
of which they are incapable

Vince Lombardi's aphorism replaces thinking

Battles lacking any overarching goal
or reason or meaning
Battles for the sake of battle
Inherent belligerence contrives rationalizations
for itself

Devoid of integrity all systems fail
Devoid of integrity all systems fail
Devoid of integrity all systems fail

They behave as proud and arrogant children.

Johnny D. and I finished putting together the first entry in our DVD Bootleg Club of the 8/24/04 show at Level One in Los Angeles.  This was Andre LaFosse's first performance with the band as the electric guitarist and also features Jen Kuhn on electric cello, Isaac Slape on electric bass, and Kevin Dooley on the drums.  Special guest Kat Parsons appears on her song "To Return to You."  The DVD will also contain all of the short-form videos that appeared on oppymusic.com throughout the second half of 2004 and early 2005 which also features Todd Carey (formerly Lieberman) on guitar and Mike Keneally on guitar and keyboards.  We were hoping to get this out before Christmas, and we still might, but we're cutting it very close so we're not accepting any pre-orders until I actually have the DVD's in my hand.  We have a couple other volumes of the series planned for 2006, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy them!

* Reviews of Foggy Highway and the 11/20/05 Concert!

Volkmar Mantei of Germany's Ragazzi progressive rock magazine wrote a nice review of both Concepts of Non-linear Time and Beyond the Foggy Highway which you can check out here:

http://www.ragazzi-music.de/opperman05.html

Also, Tiffiny Kaye Whitney wrote an EXTREMELY flattering article of our most recent show here:

The photos were taken by the lovely and talented Cassidy Freeman.

* New New Music Music Music

I realize that I haven't been performing very often lately, and that's mostly because I've been doing a whole lot of writing.  Currently, I'm working on the last piece for the studio album (tentatively titled "The Sorcerer's Apprentice") called The Porpentine.  We debuted the first several movements of it at the 11/20/05 show and we also recorded the intro to it at The Mothership a couple of weeks ago.  It's going to be quite the epic, probably clocking in at around 15-20 minutes, and I really think it's the greatest thing I've ever written.  I'm currently orchestrating it for full orchestra and that has been my musical obsession for the last two months.  I was really proud of Special Opps for performing a huge chunk of it a couple weeks ago, because it is ridiculously difficult (we spent almost all of our rehearsal time just on that one piece).

I've also started writing songs for the album that's going to come after the one that I'm currently working on.  I'll be pretty jazzed when the day finally comes that I can make records as quickly as I can write them, but in the meantime, I'll just keep augmenting my catalog.  The two latest editions are two rock songs, complete with lyrics.  The first is called "That You Didn't Say Yesterday" that I think rocks pretty hard, and the second one is a humorous look at dating in Los Angeles called "Brenda, You're a Coward."  The challenge on that album for me is going to be writing all songs with lyrics instead of only instrumentals, although I plan on finally recording "Music for the Coronation of the Royalty King" for it.

Every once in awhile, my dad or Tanya will ask me when I plan on recording "Tanya's Song" and the answer is someday.  I realize that there are two other volumes in the Oppy Music trilogy that I haven't recorded yet and although changes will obviously need to be made to them to update them to the 21st century, I haven't forgotten.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and music is the best!  2006 is going to be a big year.

-- Chris

GOTAN PROJECT

  • gotan project: la revancha del tango live
(2005, dvd, fr, ya basta) - incl. 'chunga's revenge' (frank zappa)
    • For me, Gotan Project's version of Frank Zappa's 'Chunga's Revenge' is on of the best covers around.
"La Revancha Del Tango Live" does include this superb track, performed as an encore to a fabulous concert.

If you're into exploring music, you need this one.

DRUMMERS DOUBLE BILL

"The impulse to form the "Drummers Double Bill" emerged when Rob Verdurmen, drummer for the Willem Breuker Kollektief since 1974, discovered how much fun composing could be. Although he had written several pieces for the W.B.K., that ensemble played works penned principally by Breuker himself."

FRANK ZAPPA: RESOLVER & BRUTALITY

It would surprise me if you hadn't already heard about this, but a very nice demo tape has recently been 'leaked' into the Zappa trade community.

"This is an audio cassette containing 58 minutes of synclavier music. The songlist and the title Resolver + Brutality are hand-written by Frank Zappa itself."

Click on the link and read on...

If you want to hear it, go to the Zappateers site and get your Bittorrent program running.
It's worth your effort.
