Featuring members of Yes, King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Curved Air, Roxy Music and Soft Machine, UK was one of the most prominent progressive rock supergroups of the late 70's.

• Eddie Jobson: electric violin, keyboards
• John Wetton: lead vocals, bass guitar
• Allan Holdsworth: guitars
• Bill Bruford: kit drums and percussion

Holdsworth and Bruford left after one album, with former Frank Zappa drummer Terry Bozzio replacing Bill Bruford.
This new line-up released "Danger Money" in 1979 and followed the album with a tour. Once the tour was completed, the band broke up.
The posthumous live album "Night After Night" was released shortly afterwards.

April 2011, the band (Wetton / Jobson) reunited and did concerts in Tokyo, San Francisco, New York en Boston.
In 2012, U.K. did a reunion world tour. The fist concert took place on May 1, 2012, in Chicago.
