PiKANTiK was established in Cracow (Poland) in 2006 by Michał
"Mike" Worgacz - guitarist, vocalist, composer and lyrics
writer, ex - leader of the KRONER CiRKUS band.
In the beginning - PiKANTiK had to be only a single project, some
kind of "zappa tribute idea" - created for a while ... but
when musicians were engaged to this project ... they've made a decision
- to be a band and to use PiKANTiK as a name of new group ...

The band performed at the 17th edition of the Zappanale festival on
2006/07/15 in Bad Doberan, Germany.

Early 2007, Filip "Phil" Mozul (drums) got
replaced by Grzegorz Schneider (percussion), making the new
line-up:

PiKANTiK has a new drummer:
11th january 2007 -
Grzegorz SCHNEiDER joined the band. Schneider has performed and recorded
with numerous musicians on hundreds of events, tenths of albums across the
musical spectrum, including : Dzem, Chlopcy z Placu Broni, Homo Twist,
Mr.Bobber's Friends, Pod Buda, Spectrum Session, The Cooks, Revolver, Brass
Time, Seven B ... and many others.

Pikantik has a new album out. It's called "The
Moofka" and it features their new drummer Grzegorz Schneider.
On their two previous albums, Pikantik performed the music of
Frank Zappa. For the biggest part, "The Moofka" includes
original compositions. There's Zappa's 'If Only She Woulda'
(recorded at Zappanale), and there's a ripping version of the
Allmann brothers' 'Whipping' Post', but all the other compositions
are written by Michał Worgacz or by Michał Worgacz
and Krzysztof Wojciechowski.
"The Moofka" is a very guitar oriented album. This comes
as no surprise, as Michał Worgacz is the writer (or
the co-writer) of most of the tracks.
Progressive rock, including a couple of very fine guitar solos
(excellent solos, and a great guitar-tone as well).
The first five tracks of this promotional album are in Polish, but
the first two have been translated into English and make up tracks
five and six. Nice touch.

Grzegorz Schneider was replaced in PiKANTiK by drummer -
Rafał REGULSKi (former member of Kroner Cirkus)
Guitarist Marek Kuc joined the band (ex - Kroner Cirkus,
ENS)
Krzysztof Wojciechowski quit the band.
