madfoot

madfoot was a 5-piece coverband (including a female singer) that played a diverse range of music: from jazz to pop and rock.  the band formed in the summer of 1976 and started practicing zappa tunes every time they had to wait for the singer to arrive. after a while the repertoire included: 'carolina hardcore ecstacy', 'dinah moe humm', 'my guitar wants to kill  your mama', 'black napkins' and 'who are the brain police' (frank zappa).

rob cerreta (editor of "mother people" magazine) played bass in this band.

A couple of years after the demise of madfoot, the band reformed without the female vocalist and plus a keyboard-player to form anaconda, a band that only was to play zappa music.
