lorraine belcher

Lorraine Belcher lived with FZ at Studio Z, and she participated in the "party tape" for which FZ was busted in 1964. As the tape included sex noises, the official complaint was ‘conspiracy to commit pornography’.

She is name-checked - as "Pete", her nickname - on the cover of "Freak Out!" (1966) under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them".

In the article "Vice Squad Raids Local Film Studio" (Ontario Daily Report, 1964, Ted Harp), they called her the "buxom red-haired companion" of FZ...

Lorraine Belcher got interviewed for the 2010 Zappathon on WUSB 90.1FM. Recordings of this interview circulate.
