May 2004, the Dutch XLJAZZ ensemble performed "Monk, Mingus &
more". Later the same year, the big band played a "Tribute to Hermeto
Pascoal".
Recordings of both of these series of concerts can be found on "03
04".
August and October 2006, the XLJAZZ ensemble did a couple of Zappa tribute concerts. A short while later, the "Zappa XL" album got released.
