conducted by elgar howarth, the royal philharmonic orchestra did the score for 200 motels, and also appeared in the true story of 200 motels.

it's very difficult to get a lively, happening feel with a bunch of, uh, people like the royal philharmonic orchestra.  that was the most ill-behaved bunch of poot-heads i've ever worked with.
