hi! yes.
i first worked with frank on a super concert at royce hall at ucla.
then, whenever he needed harp on any of his albums, he'd call me
into his studio. frank was a genius
musician, one who was respected by all who crossed his path.
he walked with the greats.
... one of his greatest admirers/colleagues is pierre boulez, who is in my
opinion, the musical giant of the second half of this century. boulez and frank
were of one completely outrageous avant-garde mind. though their focus differed,
they communicated on such a high musical level and they understood each other
perfectly well. i was glad for
frank that he was so recognized and loved.
i just returned from a week away in scotland.
someone on the plane had a magazine with a full page article about frank
and what he had done in his life. it
was very accurate and of course, extremely complementary.
it even said something about how much his musicians loved him.
that made me smile.
i teach harp here in the l.a. area. also,
music theory online. and soon, i'm
going to initiate a method to teach harp long distance.
i am also the harpist in the los angeles philharmonic.
hope life is exciting for you. take
care, lou anne
